What is the Inkwell?

The Inkwell is where you'll find the latest on my releases and appearances. I'll talk about my favorite writing tools and other writing-related stuff as well, and I'll even throw in some entertaining reading material from time to time. The Inkwell will change regularly. Some posts will be removed and others will stay, depending upon relevance. The goal is to keep everything as current, useful, and entertaining as possible.

Dead Rising Ghost pepper Sauce - 1/22/12

Picture
A ghost pepper sauce inspired by my novella Dead Rising is available from Insane Chicken. This is a tasty sauce with a lot of heat. If you're a fan of hot sauces, grab a bottle of Dead Rising Ghost Pepper Sauce. It comes with a free copy of my novella Dead Rising in any digital format you prefer.

Blood Legacy Release - 1/11/12

I'm excited about the release of my novel Blood Legacy. The book is available in paperback and all of the popular digital formats. My wife Marcee did the awesome cover.

Who is Jack the Ripper?

Most of us know the dark figure in a long coat and top hat, with a black medical bag clutched in one hand and a razor-sharp surgical knife in the other. We can all imagine this madman stalking the dirty back alleys and fog-shrouded streets of Whitechapel, searching for his next victim.

What we can’t imagine is what history has left out.

Blood Legacy is a chilling novel that follows a blood-drenched trail leading to a shocking new twist in the Ripper mythology.

Dead Rising Ghost Pepper Sauce - 12/20/11

Picture
Insane Chicken has created a hot sauce based on my book Dead Rising. The sauce is made with the naga jolokia ghost pepper (hottest pepper in the world). The label will match the book and there will be promotional things going on when the sauce hits the market in the next few days.

Deadtown Review - 12/8/11

A very cool review of "Deadtown and Other Tales of Horror Set in the Old West." Check it out here.

Facebook - 9/12/11

Although I try to write here as often as possible, and will continue to do so, it seems like I don't get to do it as often as I'd like. I'll use this area to post fiction, essays on writing, reviews, and assorted other things, but for daily updates on me, my Facebook page is a better bet. Click the coffee to drop visit me there. Add me as a friend. I'd love to have you.

E-Books and E-Cigarettes - 6/12/11

I love e-books. I have an actual Kindle. I also have Kindle on my phone. If I can get my books in digital form, that's the way I like to read them. Now my love for the digital medium extends to cigarette smoking. I like to smoke. I'm a long-time smoker. I've tried several times to quit, with no success. My wife and I switched from cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. The brand is Blu Cigs. I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but I'm hooked. It's everything I like about smoking without the nasty smell and all the health issues. It's even a little cheaper. I won't be lighting up again.
