Night of the Living Dead (30th Anniversary)
This is a two-disc set put out by Anchor Bay. Disc one contains two versions of the film. One is a 30th anniversary version containing more than 15 minutes of footage left out of the original, the second version of the film is a 1998 version that contains new footage shot to look like the footage in the original. The scenes are seamlessly integrated into the film and add new characters and new action. Most purists, of course, hate it, but I feel it adds a new dimension to the movie, and since Night of the Living Dead is one of my all-time favorite horror movies, I enjoy the opportunity to see it in a different way. This set also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 30th anniversay film presentations, a 30th anniversay theatrical trailer, 30th anniversay still gallery, a 32-page booklet, and scenes from Bill Hinzman's Flesh Eater. There's also audio commentary. The 30th anniversay limited edition was also released as a single disc. The two-disc version contains a disc that features the movie soundtrack. Anchor Bay is one of my favorite places for horror DVDs. This is just one example of the type of stuff they release. If you're a Night of the Living Dead fan, I suggest you grab yourself a copy of this one.
