TriumphMusic.com - Triumph is one of the most underrated bands around. If you've forgotten how these boys rock, take another listen. The web site offers lyrics to all the songs, video of Triumph, and samples of every song.

Whitesnake.com - David Coverdale's Whitesnake. An ass-kickin' rock 'n' roll outfit. This is the official site. Coverdale posts regularly on the bulletin board. There's often special goodies offered to fans for download. Coverdale has got to be one of the most down-to-Earth rockers around.

Answers.com - Detailed information on just about everything.

FunTrivia.com - Pretty much what the name suggests. You can participate in the fun by taking trivia quizzes, or you can create quizzes for other members. It's free.

iTools - Excellent all-around reference center.

Refdesk.com - Vast collection of reference materials that include dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopedias, almanacs, and a number of search tools.

Allegro Coffee - Very good coffee.

American Food Century - Worth a visit for the food timeline alone. Find out which food products were available in what decade.

CoffeeGeek.com - This is an entertaining and useful web site for coffee lovers.

Coffee Universe - Everything you ever want to know about coffee.

Gode Cookery - A thorough guide to medieval cooking. Great resource.

Medieval Cookery - A guide to cooking in medieval times. Features a search that will tell you what ingredients were available in specific periods. Covers cooking from 600 AD to 1600 AD.

Millstone Coffee - Fun and informative web site for Millstone coffee.

The Red Hot Chili Paper - Nice all-around site. Lots of information here about hot peppers, herbs and spices, coffee, and alcoholic beverages, primarily wines.

Starbucks Coffee - Probably the most famous name in the business.

The Webtender - An online bartender. Information on just about every alcoholic beverage you can imagine.

Wine.com - Intensive web site features all sorts of information about wine.

Google Earth - This program allows you to zero in on any place on the planet, right down to street level, all in real life 3D. Just type in an address and you're there. You can tilt your view, rotate, and even choose the landmarks you'd like to view. One of the most detailed satellite-type mapping programs I've seen.

NationalGeographic.com - Web site for the famous print publication. The site has a large number of interesting features available.

Wicked London Guide - Wicked London Guide for information on entertainment,
theatre, travel, and fun in London.

Health and Medicine

Internet Mental Health - Informative, detailed description of major mental health disorders.

MedlinePlus - Extensive medical resource featuring a medical dictionary and a medical encyclopedia

RxList - Searchable database for most any sort of legal drug.

History and Culture

AmericicanCivilWar.com - Excellent Civil War resources.

Behind the Name - This is a great resource for finding the perfect names for your characters. Search by nationality and gender. Also gives history and etymology.

CivilWar.com - Great site if you need to research the Civil War.

Clans of Ireland - Resource for Irish history and culture. This is a very good-looking web site. My only beef is that it doesn't include food-related topics.

History Channel - Official web site of the History Channel.

Last-Names.net - A useful dictionary of last names you can search by nationality.

Native Americans.com - Useful web site. Lots of information.

Pirates Fact and Legend - A pirate resource that helps seperate fact from fiction.

Son of the South.net - Another good research site. Comprehensive list of Generals on both sides, a section on Civil War medicine, and lots of photos.

Victorian Web - An array of material pertaining to the Victorian times. This site features everything from social and political history to gender matters of the time. Info on religion, science, technology, and even Victorian texts. This is an extensive resource.

The World History Chart - This resource, an online hypertext historical timeline, is extremely useful when charting historical events in your work. Highly recommended.

American Folklore - Fun site featuring a lot of great tales, tall and otherwise.

Bermuda-Triangle.org - One of the best sites on the triangle I've seen.

Bigfoot Encounters - Stunning web site. The best bigfoot resource around.

GhostStudy.com - Nice resources on the subject.

Snopes.com - Intensive site featuring information on urban legends, scams, etc.

Performing, Visual, and Literary Arts

Artcyclopedia - An online encyclopedia aimed at the world of art.

The Classical Music Archives - Intensive site featuring biographies, historical context, lists of composers and their works, and even classical midi files.

Eyes of Chaos - This is the official web site of Mike Bohatch. If you need an artist for a horror book project, I recommend Mike. He's cutting edge, he's a nice guy, and his work is intense. He did the cover for the Cold Storage anthology.Read my interview with Mike then check out his web site.

The Literature Network - Large archive of classic literature and poetry. A little heavy on the ads, but somebody has to pay for this stuff.

Metropolitan Museum of Art - Huge online content featuring an art timeline.

National Gallery of Art - Web site of the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. Online tours and exhibitions, essays, and the gallery's gift shop.

Twainquotes.com - Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) was a man who had a way with words. He could always be counted on to provide a great quote on just about any subject. This web site brings them all to one place. Very well done.

Science and Technology

Biology-Online.org - Life Sciences discussed. Features links to other biology sites.

ScienceIQ.com - Extensive collection of science facts.

Space.com - This web site offers quite a bit of information about space. The web site is ad-driven and has a few annoying pop-ups, but it's worth a visit for the info available.

BookFinder - This is an awesome search engine that will find the book you are looking for. Searches thousands of sources to find new and used editions, rare editions, out of print editions, etc.
